Carpenter Erin

Erin Carpenter teaches English Language Arts for 7th grade on the Qualla Boundary of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation. She began working for the tribe as a substitute teacher while earning a Master's in English-Professional Writing at Western Carolina University. Erin grew up in New Jersey but fell in love with the Appalachian Mountains while attending camping trips and bluegrass festivals as a student at UNC-Chapel Hill.
