Catherine Doiron is an ELL teacher for Grades K-4 in Massachusetts. After earning a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from MIT, she worked as a software engineer. Through an Engineers Into Education program, she earned her M.Ed. in Elementary Education. She often uses inquiry-based natural science and engineering projects to build students’ literacy. Catherine would like to develop a deeper knowledge of misunderstandings and omissions in her history education so she can help students look at the past from different points of view. In her classroom, she introduces her students to multiple cultural practices and perspectives of the present. Her family has hosted high school foreign exchange students from various countries over the past 14 years. During vacations, she enjoys hiking and traveling with her family.
