Getting to Martha's Vineyard

The Summer Institute begins at 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 16, 2017 with a cookout at the Hostelling International Hostel on Martha’s Vineyard.

Logan Airport in Boston has public transportation links to Martha’s Vineyard; see
http://www.mvy.com/get-here/index.aspx

T.F. Green Airport in Providence, RI also offers public transportation options to the Island:

We are renting two vans to be used for the duration of the program. We will meet the ferries that depart from Woods Hole at 1:15 and 3:45 on July 16 and transport Summer Scholars to the Hostel.  We will return to the mainland on the Woods Hole ferry and use the vans to travel to Hyannis, and for all group activities thereafter.

R/T passage on the ferry is $17 per person.  For further information, see

If you are driving to Woods Hole, we strongly recommend that you park in one of the lots that offer free shuttle service (the Palmer Avenue or Thomas Landers lots in Falmouth), for about $15 per day.  Allow at least 1.5 hours before departure for parking. There is no parking at the ferry terminal.  You can take a car on the ferry but reservations must be made months in advance and the R/T cost is about $150.

DEPARTURES FROM HYANNIS:

There are public transportation options from Hyannis to the airports in Boston and Providence, including Peter Pan Bus.
