Katerina Karis was born in Ohio, lived in Brooklyn NY and Athens, Greece, but is a current resident of New Jersey. She has taught Language Arts and Social Studies to students in a range of grade levels, including the college level. Currently, she is shifting back to 8th grade World History. Katerina is Nationally Board Certified and has earned a BA in Humanities, a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Masters of Social Sciences. She is currently enrolled in a Teacher Education/Teacher Development doctoral program. In addition to teaching and learning, Katerina's other passions include environmental conservation and social justice advocacy.
