Nute Katherine

Katherine has been a teacher of special education students since 2004.  Her most recent position is as a teacher of gifted students in grades K-12 at the East Stroudsburg North Campus in Bushkill, PA.  Prior to moving to PA, she started her teaching career as a Cohort 8 New York City Teaching Fellow. She has her undergraduate degree from Wheaton College, MA in International Relations and Russian Studies, and her Masters in Teaching Urban Adolescents with Disabilities K-12 from Long Island University.  She is currently working on her second masters with thesis in History at East Stroudsburg University. She plans to write her graduate thesis on the relationship between the Pennsylvania Dutch and the Native Americans in the Pocono Mountain region.
