October is a “tricky” month for teaching Native American histories but it also offers “treats” in the form of opportunities for critical thinking.  Why do some people celebrate Columbus, and why do others object?  What can we learn from Native American foodways and traditional ecological knowledge?  What should I be (or not) for Halloween?
